I tried to work with the transportation documentation I found including platform maps and diagrams. I focused on the main rail station portion (Japan Rail) of Kyoto Station and the ground floor of the Lobby. I highlighted the beginning of the elongated staircase as requested along with the descending basement stairs and the first set of escalators. I felt these few highlights maintained the emphasis on how one travels through the space.
